After pick up at Manaus hotels, passengers proceed to the Port of Manaus to board a speedboat.  Navigating up the Negro River towards the floating platform, you will cross the Jornalista Phelippe Daou Bridge, better known as Rio Negro Bridge.  Arriving at the floating platform, it will be possible to observe these docile porpoises being fed by a native.

The trip continues to the indigenous community where the Indians from the upper Negro River and different ethnic groups come together to share their dances and culture.  As guests of honor, you are invited to participate in a presentation ritual accompanied by much joy and dance.  After that brief moment, time will be available for photographs and purchases of local crafts.  Enjoy the peace and energy to interact with the natives.

Following this incredible experience and cultural exchange, passengers return to the port to disembark and head for the vehicle that will take you back to your hotel.

COVID-19 Protocols Updates

Currently, all travelers arriving in Brazil by air must provide all of the following documentation:

  • A negative Covid-19 Antigen test within 24 hours of flight departure OR a negative Covid-19 Laboratory RT-PCR test within 72 hours of flight.
  • Proof of vaccination for applicable ages - either printed or electronic - of immunization approved by ANVISA, WHO or health authorities in the country where immunized - whose last dose has occurred at least 14 days before the flight departure. Some exeptions apply for specific circumstances and anyone declared exempt must quarantine for 14 days.
  • Must present to airline before boarding printed or electronic proof of filling out the "Travelers Health Declaration" within a maximum of 24 hours before the flight.
  • Currently there is no personal interaction between guests and porpoises due to the pandemic.

Porpoises are sensitive animals and aiming at the safety of visitors and the welfare of the animals, some care is necessary:

  • Do not try to touch or feed the porpises.
  • Do not scream.
  • The tour operates regardless of weather conditions but schedules may change due to a number of reasons.
  • In the period of ebb, there is a phenomenon in the rivers called Piracema (fish migratory movement) which influences, in some cases, the porpoises to change migratory patterns, resulting in no possibility of interacting with the animals; something that can only be determined on the spot on the day of the tour.
